Dharwad, Oct. 18 -- The political tussle between the Congress and BJP over the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Karnataka is increasingly being seen as a "game of bans," former Lokayukta and retired Supreme Court judge Santosh Hegde said today.

Hegde alleged that the Congress party is attempting to ban the RSS in the state and warned that if the BJP returns to power, it may retaliate by targeting the Congress.

"The Constitution gives citizens the right and authority to form associations. Therefore, any attempt to ban the RSS would be against the Constitution. That is when their game will begin. In short, this is turning into a game of bans," Hegde said.
