Kochi, Dec. 9 -- Polling at Kizhakkambalam in Ernakulam district witnessed high tension today after alleged CPM and Congress workers tried to obstruct Twenty20 Party President Sabu M. Jacob and his family when they arrived to vote at the Vilangkulam St. Mary's Church booth.
Twenty20 accused the rival fronts of creating chaos inside the booth, claiming that organised groups of workers attempted to disrupt voting. The party alleged that CPM workers had a history of triggering conflicts and trying to cast bogus votes in several booths of the panchayat, and this year's attempt was a continuation of the same pattern.
