Hapur, Jan. 2 -- : A dispute that began over the alleged theft of cow dung cakes (uplas) escalated into violence between the people of two different communities from Kathikheda village and the neighboring Salai village under the Hapur Dehat police station area on Friday morning.

The clash led to stone-pelting and physical altercations from both sides, leaving around six people injured. Panic and tension spread across the villages following the incident. According to information, Surendra, a resident of Kathikheda village, had been facing theft of cow dung cakes for several days.
