Chamba, Nov. 13 -- A clash between youths of two communities plunged Chamba town into turmoil on Wednesday evening, raising serious concerns over the deteriorating law-and-order situation in the region. What started as a target assault quickly spiralled into a night-long confrontation between locals and the police, leaving the city on edge.

The incident unfolded around 5:30 p.m. in the Surada area, where 20 to 25 youths allegedly arrived on motorcycles without number plates and attacked three boys who were on their way to a nearby temple.
