Kabul, May 26 -- Clash between two families over land ownership claimed one life and injured seven others in the eastern Afghanistan's Khost province on Sunday, provincial government spokesman Mustaghfar Garbaz said Monday.
Dispute over ownership of a piece of land between two families in Jaji Maidan district triggered armed conflict on Sunday afternoon and resultantly one person lost his life in the gunshots while seven others from both sides were injured, the official added.
Security personnel reached the site and besides taking the injured persons to nearby hospital, started investigation, the official said.
