Tirumala, March 1 -- The Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy at the world renowned Tirumale temple on Sunday morning.
Kant made his maiden visit to the temple town on a Saturday evening, shortly after assuming office as the Chief Justice of India (CJI)."The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Priests and officials led by TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Executive Officer M. Ravi Chandra and Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkayya Chowdary, extended a traditional welcome to the CJI on his arrival to the Mahadwaram of the main temple complex.
After being led inside the sanctum sanctorum, the Chief Justice of India and his family members worshipped Lord Venkateswara Swamy for a brief while.
