New Delhi, Nov. 26 -- Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Wednesday inaugurated the Constitution Day celebrations organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), marking his first public address since assuming office.
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal attended as the Guest of Honour. The event also recognised several members of the Bar for their contributions to legal scholarship.
Advocate Selvakumari was honoured for her Tamil book Sattathin Kural ("Voice of Law"), Advocate R.V. Prabhat (AoR) received a Certificate of Honour for his commentary on the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, and Senior Advocate Mahalakshmi Pavani was felicitated for her book Women Laws - From the Womb to the Tomb.
