Chandigarh, Dec. 22 -- Chief Justice of India Surya Kant was on Tuesday presented with a ceremonial guard of honour by the Punjab police.
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal, along with other senior administrative officers, was present at the airport to welcome him. Members of the police force and officials from the district administration coordinated the reception arrangements.
Several judges from the High Court and district judiciary were also in attendance during the brief stopover. After interacting with officials and reviewing the arrangements at the airport, the Chief Justice departed for Hoshiarpur.
