Jaipur, Sept. 24 -- Several civil society organisations have expressed concern over a rise in attacks against Christians in Rajasthan, claiming nine such incidents have occurred in September alone, following the passage of the state's Anti-Conversion Bill on September 9.
In a joint statement, the groups highlighted two attacks in the state capital, one of which occurred in Sanganer, the Assembly constituency of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. They alleged that the incidents reflect officials' disregard for peace and harmony and demanded the arrest of the culprits, whom they claim are linked to the Bajrang Dal.
