Lucknow, May 15 -- In the wake of recent tensions between India and Pakistan, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to significantly strengthen the state's internal security apparatus, official sources said here on Thursday.
Sources said that acting on the Chief Minister's directive, the Civil Defence system, currently operational in only 15 districts, will now be established across all 75 districts. "This expansion aims to enhance preparedness, ensure swift emergency response, and build a more resilient security framework across the state," they said.
