Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 24 -- The upcoming municipal election will play a decisive role in shaping the future of the Kerala capital, BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on Monday.
Addressing the election convention of BJP candidates, Chandrasekhar alleged that Thiruvananthapuram's long-standing civic administration has been marred by corruption and inefficiency, claiming that meaningful development is possible only through a change in governance.
He said the BJP considers the local body election not as a "semi-final" to the Assembly polls, but as a genuine opportunity to bring about the change demanded by the people of Kerala.
