Varanasi, Sept. 22 -- A man reportedly tried to open the cockpit door mid-air on an Air India flight from Bangalore to Varanasi. The pilot informed Air Traffic Control, which, in turn, alerted the airport administration.
As the plane landed, CISF detained the young man. Local police have also been informed of the incident. It is being reported that the young man aboard Air India flight (IX-1086) was attempting to open it, thinking it was a toilet door.
According to the Phulpur police, information has been received and further details will be available after investigation. Other passengers are also being questioned.
