Bengaluru, March 25 -- The CID has taken over the probe into a sexual misconduct scandal that has rocked Karnataka's police force, involving a suspended Mangaluru Police Inspector accused of multiple instances of sexual assault, harassment, and abuse of power.
Confirming the development, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said the officer was immediately suspended after the allegations surfaced and the matter was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough inquiry.
"The case involves several serious allegations. A detailed probe is necessary, and the truth will come out. We will also examine whether there are more victims," he told reporters.
