Chyne elected as UDP General Secretary

Shillong, Aug. 8 -- The United Democratic Party (UDP), one of the largest regional political parties in Meghalaya, today appointed Titosstarwell Chyne as its new state general secretary of the party.



Chyne succeeded Dr. Jemimo Mawthoh who quit as member of the party and relinquished his post as General Secretary.



"We have unanimously approved the name of Titosstarwell Chyne as the new general secretary of the party," UDP President, Metbah Lyngdoh told reporters after chairing the party's Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting.
