Patna, March 1 -- union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan has demanded immediate review of the liquor ban in Bihar and said shortcomings in its implementation must be removed to ensure public welfare.

Paswan told media persons here on Sunday that liquor ban law was framed after consensus among all political parties in Bihar. Prohibition was enforced from April 2016 but it was found that its implementation had drawbacks which must be removed at the earliest after thorough review of all its aspects, he added.

"Home delivery of liquor is a serious issue as leaders of various political parties have been raising it from time to time," Paswan said adding that a review of the entire gamut of prohibition was needed. "It must be...
