Belthangady, Sept. 3 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has extended the custody of Chinnayya, the anonymous complainant in the Dharmasthala unclaimed bodies burial case, for three more days, until September 6.

Chinnayya had completed a 12-day custody period earlier today and was produced before the Belthangady court after formalities in Bengaluru. The SIT sought the extension for further questioning.

Meanwhile, the SIT has issued summons to the accused in the Soujanya rape-murder case. Uday Kumar Jain appeared at the SIT office and stated that he is ready to cooperate with the investigation.
