Prague, July 14 -- China fell to Portugal 75-52 in Group B at the 2025 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup on Sunday, suffering its second straight defeat at the tournament in Brno, Czech Republic.



China stayed within 33-26 at halftime, but Portugal staged a 17-1 run late in the third quarter to establish a 59-36 lead and never looked back.



Portugal dominated the paint, with 1.98-meter center Clara Silva contributing a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds. The European side led 16-5 in offensive rebounds and outscored China 46-18 in the paint.



Ran Kejia, who finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds, was the only Chinese player in double digits.
