New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi
here this evening.
The Prime Minister told the Foreign Minister that stable, predictable, constructive ties between India and China would contribute significantly to regional as well as global peace and prosperity.
He said he was ''glad to meet Foreign Minister Wang Yi'' and since his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Kazan last year, India-China relations had made steady progress guided by respect for each other's interests and sensitivities.
The Prime Minister said he looked forward to his next meeting with President Xi in Tianjin on the sidelines of the SCO Summit.
