New Delhi, Feb. 10 -- China's BRICS Sherpa and Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu said Beijing is prepared to closely coordinate with India, which holds the BRICS chairmanship this year, along with other member and partner nations, to strengthen cooperation and support development across the grouping.

Ma was speaking during the inaugural Sherpa/Sous-Sherpa Meeting held in New Delhi on February 9, where he underlined President Xi Jinping's vision for advancing "greater BRICS cooperation" through high-quality development. He also highlighted the five broad cooperation priorities: peace, innovation, green growth, justice, and deeper people-to-people engagement. He then went on to describe them as a roadmap for the bloc's future.
