New Delhi, May 21 -- China, Pakistan and Afghanistan on Wednesday agreed to expand the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) up to Afghanistan and strengthen cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

This was decided at a meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister, who is also the country's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Afghanistan's acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi at a meeting in Beijing, official sources here said.

The three Ministers also discussed measures to boost trade and development of infrastructure.

India opposes the CPEC because it is in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).
