Bareilly, Dec. 2 -- A shocking incident came to light on the Delhi-Lucknow Highway near Bareilly, where the body of a young boy was recovered from an iron box placed under the Nakatiya bridge.
The box also contained packets of toffees and snacks. The child is believed to be around eight to nine years old. Police are currently trying to identify him.
According to Izzatnagar Police, the village head of Kumarah informed them early in the morning on Tuesday about an iron trunk lying near the Nakatiya river. When police opened the box, they found the boy's body dressed in an orange T-shirt and black lower.
The body had been covered with a red cloth, while snacks like chips and toffees were also found inside.
