Hyderabad, Aug. 30 -- The Child Rights Commission (CRS) on Saturday conducted a surprise inspection of Mana Trust, which supplies mid-day meals to more than 970 government schools in the Greater Hyderabad area, and found several irregularities in its operations.

During the visit, the Commission examined food preparation and kitchen cleanliness, maintenance of cooking utensils, rice and goods storage, and the upkeep of daily records. It also inspected the process of handling leftover and waste food, frequency of pest control, hygiene in food transportation, and the quality of containers used.
