Dhanbad, July 20 -- Jharkhand Chief Secretary Mrs. Alka Tiwari on Sunday visited the Munidih Colliery under the Western Jharia Area of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and reviewed the underground coal mining operations.
During the visit, the Chief Secretary interacted with BCCL officials and gathered details regarding safety protocols, coal production, dispatch processes, and coal quality. She also went underground to observe the mining process firsthand.
Former Chief Secretary D.K. Tiwari, DC Aditya Ranjan, ADM Hema Prasad, and SDO Rajesh Kumar accompanied her. BCCL CMD Sameeran Dutta and senior officials welcomed the delegation and briefed them on operational updates.
