Kannur, Dec. 18 -- Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Sunny Joseph has alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI(M) leaders are attempting to cover up a recent bomb blast at Venduttai near Pinarayi, in which a CPI(M) worker was seriously injured while allegedly making a bomb following the local body elections.
While CPI(M) leaders and the police claimed that DYFI worker Vipin Raj lost his right palm due to a firecracker accident, CPI(M) leader E P Jayarajan justified the incident, saying it occurred while tightening firecracker threads. Vipin Raj has previously booked under the KAPA Act.
