Bilaspur, May 1 -- Chhattisgarh police arrested a professor from Guru Ghasidas Central University in Bilaspur district early Thursday morning. The professor, Dilip Jha, was allegedly involved in a controversy where students were forced to perform namaaz during a National Service Scheme (NSS) camp.

According to reports, the incident occurred during a seven-day NSS camp held at Shivtarai in Kota area from March 26 to April 1. On March 31, the day of Eid, the professor and team leaders allegedly gathered all students and made them perform namaaz, promising certificates in return.
