Sarguja, May 6 -- A scam worth Rs 23 crore has been uncovered in the Adim Jati Sahakari Samiti in Sarguja district of Chhattisgarh.
Sarguja Collector Vilas Bhaskar has taken cognizance of the matter and written to the Superintendent of Police, Balrampur, to register an FIR against seven individuals, including the Chief Executive Officer of the District Cooperative Central Bank.
The case pertains to the Shankargarh and Kusmi Cooperative Bank, where the audit report for the period between 2012 and 2022 revealed irregularities worth crores. The administration had constituted a team to investigate the matter.
