Bhubaneswar, Jan. 15 -- Chess is more than just a game; it is a powerful tool to help students navigate life's complex decisions, said Jerry Nash, Chair of the Educational Chess Commission of the International Chess Federation (FIDE).

Speaking at the concluding session of the International Conference on Social and Educational Chess hosted by KIIT University, Nash highlighted that the event reflected a shared global vision to integrate chess meaningfully into education systems and communities.

The two-day conference, inaugurated on Tuesday by legendary chess grandmaster Viswanathan Anand, focused on the role of chess in education, character-building, and social transformation.
