Thiruvananthapuram, July 10 -- Congress Working Committee member Ramesh Chennithala has demanded a through probe into the alleged irregularities in the Rs 240 crore tender issued for the installation of solar-powered pumps under the PM-KUSUM scheme, implemented through the Agency for Non-Conventional Energy and Rural Technology (ANERT) in Kerala.
Calling it a "major scam," Chennithala has demanded a comprehensive probe and the immediate removal of ANERT's CEO.
The irregularities began when the ANERT CEO, who is authorized to issue tenders only up to Rs 5 crore, floated a tender worth Rs 240 crore, alleged Chennithala, who also made public all related documents.
