Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 1 -- AICC Working Committee member and senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala accused the BJP-led government and Sangh Parivar forces of orchestrating a deliberate attempt to block the release of the nuns arrested in Chhattisgarh.
He alleged that the transfer of their case to a National Investigation Agency (NIA) court under stringent legal provisions is part of a calculated conspiracy to deny them bail.
"The decision to invoke harsh charges and move the case to the NIA court is clearly intended to prevent the nuns from securing bail," said Chennithala, a former Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Assembly.
