Chennai, Feb. 24 -- The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai has convicted an accused in a cheating case and awarded him four years imprisonment.
The Court while awarding four year jail term to the accused Ubaidullah alias F.Hameed alias Ubaithullah Khan Faizal, also imposed a total fine of Rs.20,000 in the cheating case filed by the CBI.
Based on source information a case was registered by CBI on December 31, 2018 on the allegation that Ubaidullah, the sole accused and a private person with dishonest intention, obtained many passports in fictitious names by impersonating himself and submitting forged documents and had travelled abroad on the fake Passports obtained to cheat the Customs Department.
