Mumbai, May 19 -- Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Monday took strong exception to the Centre's management of the all-party delegations being sent abroad following Operation Sindoor, terming the ensuing controversy as "regrettable" and "avoidable".

The central government, in response to the recent Pahalgam massacre and India's subsequent military operation, has planned to dispatch seven all-party delegations to strategic global partners, including permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. These missions aim to reinforce India's position of zero tolerance towards terrorism and expose Pakistan's role on the international stage.
