Aligarh, Nov. 26 -- Aligarh witnessed high drama on Tuesday night when Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Neeraj Jadaun suddenly arrived, dressed in plain clothes, at a narrow lane near Tasveer Mahal a stretch notorious for openly serving liquor.
The 20-foot-wide lane had been the subject of frequent complaints from residents who alleged illegal alcohol service and growing unruly behavior.
After ongoing concerns from locals, the SSP decided to inspect the area personally, sources confirmed on Wednesday. However, the situation took an unexpected turn. As soon as SSP Jadaun picked up a bottle from the table of a group consuming alcohol, they reacted aggressively, unaware of his identity.
