Chandigarh, Dec. 15 -- As Punjab's district council and block committee elections came to an end, senior Congress leaders Charanjit Singh Channi and state party chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Monday urged party workers to remain on high alert over the next two days, alleging possible attempts to manipulate the electoral process.
Addressing party candidates and workers, the leaders claimed that irregularities were reported from several parts of the state during polling, particularly related to voter lists. They alleged that while some issues were rectified after protests, the risk had not ended with voting.
