Chandrashekaranatha Swamiji passes away at 81
Bengaluru, Aug. 16 -- Chandrashekaranatha Swamiji, the revered head of the Vishva Okkaliga Mahasansthana Math in Kengeri, passed away late yesterday night at the age of 81 following prolonged age-related ailments.
The demise of the spiritual leader has drawn widespread condolences from political leaders across the spectrum, including former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, MPs DK Suresh and BK Hariprasad, BJP state president Vijayendra Yediyurappa, Minister N Cheluvaraya Swamy, Dr HC Mahadevappa, and senior leader R Ashoka. They hailed his contributions to spirituality, education, and social service.
