Chandigarh, Aug. 21 -- In a significant breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, Chandigarh Police has dismantled a drug network allegedly run with the help of a Pakistani syndicate.
Six people, including a woman, have been arrested, and multiple consignments of heroin and cocaine have been recovered. Investigators claim that drones were used to deliver the drugs across the India-Pakistan border.
According to officials, the chain of arrests began on August 5, 2025, when a police patrol team received specific intelligence about a woman transporting narcotics. The suspect, identified as Pooja from Sector 38A, was intercepted and found carrying 54 grams of cocaine. She was riding a white scooter registered in Punjab.
