Jaipur, July 30 -- Flood like situation prevailed in several parts of Karauli, Dholpur, Tonk, Kota and Sawai Madhopur districts of Rajasthan even as wide spread monsoon fury lashed the state during the past 24 hours.
The release of 5 lakh cusecs of water from Navnera Barrage into the Chambal river has brought the river in spate in almost all along its course in Rajasthan.
The swollen river was flowing at 167.40 mtr, two and a half meters above the danger mark of 165 mtr, in Karauli at 10:00 am today morning. This has flooded a number of low lying areas and villages in the vicinity of the river.
