Shimla, Feb. 18 -- A bomb threat email sent to the Chakkar District and Sessions Court complex in Shimla prompted a swift and thorough security response on Wednesday, although no explosive materials were found during subsequent checks.
According to police officials, the threatening message was received on the official email ID of the office of the District and Sessions Judge, Civil and Sessions Division, Shimla on Tuesday. The email claimed that a bomb had been planted within the court premises.
Acting promptly on the information, a team from Boileauganj police station reached the spot along with a dog squad and conducted a comprehensive search of the court building and surrounding areas.
