Hyderabad, July 29 -- In a major crackdown on financial fraud, the Telangana CID has arrested Thippeneni Ramadasappa Naidu, Chairman of Mudra Agriculture Skill Development Multi-State Co-operative Society Limited, for allegedly cheating over 2,000 people-mostly farmers and unemployed youth-by running a fake government job and deposit scheme.
Naidu was apprehended in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, while his son and associate, Thippeneni Sai Kiran, was arrested in Hyderabad. Both were produced before a magistrate in Hyderabad for judicial remand, a statement from DGP office said on Tuesday.
