Mumbai, Sept. 22 -- union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal announced via social media platform X that the Central government has decided to transfer 53.174 acres of salt land in Thane district to the government of Maharashtra for an important road project connecting Dahisar to Vasai Creek.
The North Mumbai Lok Sabha MP shared that this land transfer would facilitate the crucial infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity in the Mumbai metropolitan region.
Goyal noted in his post that the project is being implemented in two distinct sections. The Dahisar to Bhayandar segment, being developed as a Coastal Road project, is under the execution of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
