Panchkula, Dec. 24 -- union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said the central government will soon launch a new ride-hailing service called "Bharat Taxi," structured on a cooperative model that will share profits directly with drivers.

Addressing a cooperative conference in Panchkula, Haryana, Shah said the initiative of the Ministry of Cooperation is intended to improve customer convenience while significantly increasing driver incomes. "Every bit of its profit will go to the driver brothers," he said, highlighting that the platform will be driver-centric rather than investor-led.
