Ranchi, Jan. 14 -- : union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth on today said the Centre has taken several initiatives for the welfare of ex-servicemen, their families and children under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Addressing the 10th Defence Forces Veterans Day ceremony at Sugnu Ground in Dipatoli Cantonment here, Seth said financial assistance of Rs. 3,000 per month is provided for children with 100 per cent disability. Assistance of Rs. 1 lakh per daughter is given for the marriage of daughters of ex-servicemen, while educational support of Rs. 2,000 per month per child is extended to the children of ex-servicemen and widows.
