Mumbai, May 1 -- State Congress Working President and CWC member Naseem Khan on Thursday demanded that the Central government should announce a fixed deadline for a caste-wise census and the removed 50 per cent reservation limit.
He was speaking on the occasion of flag hoisting ceremony at congress headquarters ,Tilak Bhavan following Maharashtra Day and Workers' Day.
He said that the Congress party welcomes the decision of the Central government to conduct a caste-wise census. The Congress party and the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, had consistently demanded that a caste-wise census be conducted.
