Aizawl, March 23 -- The central government has sanctioned Rs 60 crore for multiple development projects in Siaha district, southern Mizoram, the state unit of the BJP announced on Sunday.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union government, a senior BJP leader said the funding reflects New Delhi's focus on balanced regional development.
The leader attributed the centre's generous allocation to the electoral wisdom of Siaha's people, who elected two BJP legislators - Dr. K. Beichhua from Saiha constituency and K. Hrahmo from Palak - in the 2023 state assembly polls. "The people of Siaha have shown vision by supporting BJP candidates, and this is the reward for their faith," he said.
