Patna, Aug. 12 -- The Union Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 19 crore as the first installment for road connectivity projects in Extremist affected areas of Bihar for the financial year 2025-26.

Official sources said here today that the funding aims to strengthen rural road infrastructure in these vulnerable regions, improving accessibility and fostering socio-economic development.

The sources said that of the sanctioned amount, Rs 18.57 crore is earmarked for programme funds and Rs 0.43 crore for administrative expenses. The initiative is part of the Centre's ongoing efforts to bring underdeveloped and security-sensitive regions into the mainstream by improving essential infrastructure.
