Shillong, March 21 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Friday said that the central government has released the final installment of the scholarship amounting to Rs 85.0779 crore, which will benefit 27,327 eligible students in the state.
The fund for the scholarship has been released under the scheme called 'Umbrella Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students for the Academic Session 2023-2024'.
Providing details of the scholarship disbursement, Sangma said that a total of 76,755 students had applied for the scheme.
