New Delhi, Dec. 16 -- Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav on Tuesday flagged persistent gaps in Gurugram and Faridabad's efforts to tackle air pollution, directing officials to ensure time-bound, visible outcomes on long-standing issues such as legacy waste, road dust, traffic congestion and illegal industrial activity.

Chairing a high-level review meeting on city-specific action plans for the two NCR cities, Yadav said repeated problem areas continued to undermine pollution control measures.

This was the second such review, following an earlier meeting on December 3, where states and civic bodies were told to present plans in a prescribed format with defined timelines.
