Shimla, Feb. 13 -- Responding to concerns over poor BSNL signal quality and frequent voice call disruptions in Himachal Pradesh, the Centre has assured Parliament that concrete measures are underway to strengthen telecom infrastructure and increase teledensity in the hill state.
During the Lok Sabha Question Hour, Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia said the government has initiated monthly and quarterly performance reviews of BSNL circles, focusing on operational and financial benchmarks including cable faults, repair timelines, and BTS uptime. "The target is to ensure at least 95 per cent uptime, with redeployment of manpower where necessary," he added.
