New Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan. 2 -- The union Ministry of Water Resources on Friday notified a high-level committee to resolve disputes relating to the use of river waters between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, reaffirming the Centre's commitment to cooperative federalism and coordinated resolution of inter-state water issues.

According to an official press release, the Central government has been extending full cooperation for the past 11 years to address water-sharing disputes between the two Telugu states by creating institutional platforms and facilitating technical and consultative processes.
