Hyderabad, Nov. 28 -- The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has begun a two-day training programme in Telangana focussing on the use of the eLISS mobile application for livestock statistical data collection.

Nodal and district nodal officers from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Telangana are participating in the workshop, being held on November 28-29.

The programme was inaugurated by B Gopi, IAS, Director of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Government of Telangana, at the TGIRD Training Institute in Hyderabad. Jagat Hazarika, Statistical Advisor with the Department of Livestock Statistics, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, attended as special guest.
