Hyderabad, Oct. 8 -- union Minister G Kishan Reddy said the Central government is fully committed to ensuring smooth and transparent cotton procurement across Telangana, promising that cotton will be purchased "up to the last kilogram" without causing inconvenience to farmers.
Speaking about the procurement process, the Minister said he has discussed the issue with union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh and the chairman of the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) to address challenges faced by farmers every season.
"Last year, 80 per cent of cotton in Telangana was procured through CCI. This year too, the process will continue without hassle," he said.
